Outreach Committee

The Outreach committee is committed to nurturing the appreciation and knowledge of flowers and plants in young children, shut-ins and older adults in the Langhorne Community.  The committee visits local daycares, local assisted living facilities and works with local agencies in providing flowers to clients.

Outreach committee members brought a taste of spring to Oxford Senior Living as residents created their own arrangements! (March 2026)

Book Club

This club explores literature centered on nature and flowers. We offer a welcoming space to discuss diverse books, foster meaningful connections, and grow together.

Members gathered to discuss "The Language of Flowers," a 2011 novel by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. The book tells the story of Victoria Jones, an eighteen-year-old who has aged out of the foster care system. She uses the Victorian-era language of flowers to express emotions such as grief, love, and mistrust. The novel explores themes of trauma, healing, and the search for maternal love. Members shared their perspectives on the book. (January 2026)
